Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Loqma when you use the app. We've kept them as plain as we can. By using Loqma you agree to them; if you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. The service

Loqma estimates calories and macros from a plain-language description of what you ate — typed, spoken, photographed, or scanned — and keeps your history, streak and plan. Estimates are approximate by nature and depend on the information you provide.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Loqma, and able to form a binding agreement. If you use Loqma on behalf of someone else, you confirm you're authorized to do so.

3. Your account

You can use Loqma as an anonymous guest or sign in with Apple or Google. You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You may delete your account and all data at any time from Settings → Delete account.

4. Not medical advice

Loqma provides estimates and general information, not medical, nutritional, or professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Calorie and macro figures are approximations and should not be relied on for medical decisions. Always consult a qualified professional before making health, diet, or fitness decisions — especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant or nursing, have a history of disordered eating, or are under a doctor's care. If you may have an eating disorder, please seek professional help. You use Loqma at your own discretion and risk.

5. AI estimates

Nutrition estimates are generated by an AI model and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Goal and target math (your daily calories and macros) is a deterministic formula based on the numbers you enter, presented as a starting point you can edit — not a prescription. You're responsible for reviewing and adjusting any figure before relying on it.

6. Subscription, trial & billing

• Loqma Pro is an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) that unlocks AI logging. It begins with a 3-day free trial.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or current period ends, the subscription renews automatically and your Apple ID is charged the then-current price.
• Manage or cancel anytime in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. We send a reminder one day before the trial ends. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Prices are shown in the app and may vary by region and over time; any change to a recurring price will be disclosed and, where required, ask for your consent.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms; we generally can't issue them directly.
• If your subscription ends, Loqma becomes read-only: your meals, streak and history stay visible forever; AI logging and notifications pause until you resubscribe.

7. Acceptable use

Please use Loqma only for its intended personal purpose. Don't: abuse, overload, or attempt to bypass the service or its limits; reverse-engineer or scrape it; submit unlawful or harmful content; or use it to build a competing dataset or service. We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that abuse the service.

8. Your content

What you log belongs to you. You grant us only the limited permission needed to process and store it to provide the service (including sending it to the AI/voice/lookup providers described in our Privacy Policy). You're responsible for the content you submit.

9. Intellectual property

The Loqma app, brand, design, and software are owned by us and protected by law. These terms don't grant you any right to our trademarks or to copy or redistribute the app.

10. Third-party services

Loqma relies on third parties (Apple, Google, Anthropic, ElevenLabs, Open Food Facts, Supabase, PostHog). Your use of those may be subject to their own terms, and we're not responsible for their services or availability.

11. Disclaimers

Loqma is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that estimates are correct or that the service will be error-free.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Loqma and its developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any health outcome, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription in the 12 months before the claim.

13. Termination

You may stop using Loqma and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or to protect the service. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. disclaimers, limitation of liability) survive termination.

14. Changes

We may update these terms; we'll update the date above and, for material changes, give notice in the app or on this page. Continuing to use Loqma after a change means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where your local consumer-protection law gives you rights that cannot be waived.
